With the recent PM's press conference on Sunday, 15/03/2020 afternoon in relation to the COVID-19, please refer to the following update from our Principal, Rahul Fernandes.
Classes and business is AS
USUAL at CTI until further direction from the Department of Health and Department
of Education. Classes continue to
run as per schedule.
Current Situation

- CTI’s
crisis management arrangements were activated on Tuesday 28 January 2020
in response to the coronavirus
- No
cases have been confirmed for CTI’s staff and students
- Following
personnel have been appointed and assigned to drive key actions as
outlined below

Staff & Students
|
- Travel restrictions continue
to remain in place and all international travel requires Principal or
Student Services & Academic Manager’s approval only
- STUDENTS
RETURNING FROM OVERSEAS AND DOMESTIC TRAVEL TO SELF QUARANTINE
THEMSELVES FOR 2 WEEKS. Students must provide evidence of their travel
prior to approval.
- Ban
on students coming or returning from China, Iran, Italy and South Korea
indefinitely.
- Staff
& Students reporting ill for more than a day will require a medical
certificate confirming their clearance
- All staff & students are to ensure that keyboards,
laptops & screens are wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes at the
end of each class session as this equipment is shared amongst other
staff and students.
- Ensure
that the kitchen & common areas are kept clean and dishes washed up
after use
- Cleaners
have been instructed to thoroughly clean communal areas

- Enhanced daily cleaning
continues across all CTI locations
- Health & hygiene notices
have been put up at all communal areas
- Installation of
hand-sanitiser bottles has been deployed to all communal locations

Resiliency and Business Continuity
Preparedness (BCP)

- Remote access capability is
being addressed in preparation for potential change in working &
studying arrangements
- ASQA’s direction is that
providers may wish to consider extending online or distance learning - https://www.asqa.gov.au/coronavirus-advice

- Weekly updates to be provided to all staff and
students via myCTI.
